Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Vidsou (operated by Melhem Studios LLC) collects, why, and what we do with it. We collect as little as we can.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and sign-in details, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Your content: the audio, images, lyrics, song descriptions and character descriptions you upload or type, and the songs, takes, frames and videos we generate for you.
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep a Stripe customer ID and your plan status.
• Usage data: basic logs (pages visited, errors, render times) needed to run and improve the Service.

How we use it

To provide the Service: analyzing your audio, sending prompts and images to AI providers to generate frames, rendering your video, and managing your credits. To personalise your results: we keep notes about your taste for your account only (your "My style" notes, your thumbs up/down and which takes, genres, characters and formats you use) and give them to the AI models as context when producing your songs and videos; you can read, switch off and erase these on My library. To support you when you write to us. To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse. We do not sell your data and we do not use Your Content to train AI models.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the Service: our sign-in and payment processors, our hosting provider, and the AI providers that generate text, images and music from your prompts, lyrics and, when you use one, your character reference image. Uploaded audio is analyzed on our own servers and is never sent to an AI provider. Each provider is bound by its own privacy terms and may only use your data to provide its service to us. We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and neither we nor, under our agreements, these providers use Your Content to train AI models. We will also disclose data if the law requires it.

Retention

Videos on free accounts are deleted after 30 days. Uploads and intermediate frames may be deleted once a video is finished. Account data is kept while your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and content at any time.

Your rights

You can access, correct, download or delete your data by emailing hello@vidsou.com; we answer within 45 days and never treat you differently for asking. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (including Maryland and California) you may also have the right to opt out of the sale of your data or its use for targeted advertising — we do neither. If you are in the EU/UK you have additional rights under GDPR; we will honor them.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for sign-in and a guest cookie so you can try the Service before creating an account. No advertising trackers.

Children

The Service is not for anyone under 18.
