Five tips for better AI music videos

Small choices that make a big difference, and a few things to avoid, from the team that builds Vidsou.

AI does most of the work, but a few decisions are still yours, and they matter.

1. Pick one clear style

A consistent look beats a mix of everything. Choose the style that fits the song's mood and let every shot follow it.

2. Use a recurring character for story songs

If your song tells a story, the same character in every scene makes it feel like a real video instead of a slideshow.

3. Read the shot list before you render

It takes two minutes. Fix anything that doesn't fit the lyrics, and regenerate the frames you don't like. Edits are free until you render.

4. Save Motion for the moments that matter

Motion brings the key shots to life. It shines on atmospheric scenes: hair in the wind, waves, city lights, candles.

5. Add the lyrics for sing-along songs

Lyrics on the video help people follow along and keep watching, especially on phones with the sound off.

What to avoid

  • Real people without permission. Only upload photos of people who agreed to appear in an AI-made video. For children, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
  • Other people's music. Use songs you made or have the rights to.
  • Famous names in descriptions. Describe the look you want instead of naming real artists or brands.
